This meeting, our March 2022 Chapter Meeting, will be held virtually, via Zoom.
Governing Pervasive Content Sprawl
Date: Thursday, March 17, 2022
Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Location: via Zoom (virtual only)
Description
As IT transitions to cloud-based services and introduces applications that drive digital transformation, IG practitioners must confront a growing array of repositories and policy automation tool sets. Each new cloud service and application presents new choices in effectively and defensibly governing content. And each presents novel challenges to organizational risk management as content sprawl takes over. Where are documents being created? How much duplication or irrelevant content do I have? Where do I store it long-term? How do I secure it? What’s my total risk profile for different repositories or processes? This session discusses the IG issues facing enterprises in a rapidly changing IT landscape and presents options for maintaining optimal IG and containment of costs while facilitating user productivity.
